Hosting a party, dinner, shower, or private occasion with family or friends? Give your party something extra! Certain Aged Ventures can provide a fun and educational wine tasting experience at your location. We work with you to determine a theme... Blind Tastings, Left Bank vs Right Bank, "I Only Like Sweet Wines", Chardonnay is My Friend, etc. We source the wines. Then, we are there to supplement your party fun around those themed wines. Enjoy old favorites, try something new, and learn about similar or different types of wines.

About Us
CAV is owned and operated by Jerry Hammaker. Born and raised in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, not exactly a “hot spot” for wine, Jerry developed an initial interest in wine by frequently visiting wineries in the Finger Lakes region of New York state. A quick drive from his hometown, the FLX provided needed work-life balance breaks from commercial/industrial roofing and then as a full-time swim coach for over 20 years. A mid-life, ”certain aged”, job change drew Jerry, from a wine enthusiast to deeper into the wine profession. Now, even after multiple wine classes, conferences, and certifications... you could say that FLX wines are still his specialty, when compared to most other wine professionals and sommeliers. But, the world of wine is far reaching and, after much study, it has become a familiar friend. Personal favorites are Rieslings, Pinot Noir from Bourgogne, fruity dry rose’, exploring sparkling wines, and discovering perfect wine & food pairings! Jerry and CAV would be happy to introduce you to the wide world of wine or help you discover new parts of it!
